PLANNER AND ORGANISER’S COMMENTS
On behalf of the SSOA we would like to thank all those who attended this year’s event at Carmichael. We hope you enjoyed the courses and the introduction of electronic timing.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank a few people without whose input the event could not have taken place. Firstly, our thanks to the Carmichael Family for once again allowing us to host the event at Carmichael and for use of the Visitor Centre. Ross McLennan for Controlling the event for us, Tinto members Marjory Foreman and Rick Richardson, Doug Condy from Cunoc, Donald Petrie SOA Professional Officer, Allan Forrester, James Stewart and Ross McIntyre for helping to cut down the nettles and Susan Galloway of Biggar High School. Our final, very big thank you is to Robin Strain (and Kirsten on the day) who provided all the computing backup which enabled the event to run using the electronic timing system and place the results on the Web site.
