13th
Scottish Schools’ Orienteering Festival
Drumpellier Country
Park, Coatbridge
Friday 6th
June 2008
On behalf of the SSOA may I extend our thanks & congratulations once
again to all the helpers & competitors who made all the work leading up to
this Festival so worthwhile.
May I particularly thank
The event was originally due to be held at Pollok CP, Glasgow but due to
ongoing discussions, a switch of venue was taken in early 2008. With the
addition of the open – now semi wooded – area to the south, Drumpellier Country
Park became an option and from the limited feedback I have received to date –
as well as a vast number of Happy, Smiling Faces – I believe this was a highly successful
Festival.
Can I please ask Staff & Parents to double check which trophy, if
any, their School or Children received. We are aware of a number of Missing
Trophies that have failed to be returned so would like you to assist us in an
audit by emailing Terry@tobrien1.wanadoo.co.uk
with the name of the School or Person and a description of the trophy eg Cup
W10, Shield M15 Team etc..
The date for the
2009 Festival is Friday 5th June, provisionally at Beecraigs Country
Park, Linlithgow.
Best Wishes
Terry
